Riverwalk: A Family Park, located at 5355 US Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. Will be hosting an Aquatic Species Collection Workshop on Saturday, August 31, from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm. Completion of the workshop will allow educators to collect and keep aquatic fish and invertebrates for use in educational programs. The cost of the three year permit is $25. Note: Participants of this workshop must possess an Aquatic Species Collecting Certificate (or have completed the workshop), a trawl net (or access to one), a vessel to pull the net ( or access to one). This workshop details the requirements for operating a trawl net in aquatic environ- ments, restrictions and best management practices for conducting this activity. A PowerPoint presentation will be used to cover these topics and discussion is encouraged.
This workshop is offered during the FMSEA Annual Conference. Conference registration is required to attend this workshop. Due to the secure nature of HBOI, a pass is required to gain access to the campus. The passes will be included in your registration materials. If you will not be able to check-in with registration prior to Saturday morning, please contact Laura Diederick (email@example.com) and to get a pass.
