Bike Your Park Day at Jonathan Dickinson State Park
Saturday, September 24th 8:30am
Meet members of Club Scrub at the park’s concession for a relaxing 10 mile ride on paved park roads. Pace will be a light 8-10 mph. Bring your bike or rent one at concession (limited bikes available). Please bring water and be prepared for the weather – hats/helmets, sunscreen are recommended – it’s still hot out there! Join thousands of people across the country biking public lands during this National Event.

September is Microplastics Awareness Month!
In a continuing effort to raise awareness about microplastics in the ocean, and to try and get people to reduce their plastic waste, September is being promoted as Microplastic Awareness Month. If you have not already checked out the Florida Microplastic Awareness Project’s website (www.plasticaware.org) and/or Facebook page, you might want to do so! Also, there is a microplastics webinar at 12:15pm EST on Sept 16 (it will be recorded for later viewing as well.) C3 is a community event celebrating coastal habitats and conservation. The event will feature a vendor village of local merchandise, food, beer, beach cleanup & conservation groups, and other non-profits.
