The Florida Marine Science Educators Association email listserv is a forum for the discussion of marine science education, research and conservation issues among Floridian educators, researchers and policy-makers. We created this listserv for marine science educators in the State of Florida so they may benefit from the knowledge and experiences of their peers. Discussions include lesson plans and activities, marine and aquatic content questions, resource sharing, job postings and event notices.
If you have a question that relates to marine science or marine science education, and you are a FMSEA member, send your question to the listserv. If you have an experience, program or trick of the trade you would like to share, send it to the listserv. However, please limit your posting to events and topics specifically relevant to professional marine educators. Examples include workshops, new web resources, job postings and funding opportunities. We also encourage you to post questions and create discussions concerning marine science and marine science education.
There are about 700 members currently on the list. Please remember that when you hit reply, your message by default goes to everyone on the list unless you designate otherwise.
The FMSEA Membership listserv is hosted through the University of South Florida and is a benefit of FMSEA membership. Unless you indicate otherwise on your membership registration, your email is automatically added to the FMSEA listserv. You can manage your listserv subscription on this page. For questions about the listserv, contact the FMSEA listserv moderator, Jason Robertshaw (support @ fmsea.org).
Many thanks to Howard Rutherford and Doug Myre for creating this list and to the USF College of Marine Science for hosting it.
